Why are squeeze pages Important

Before going into the intricacies of squeeze pages, knowing why they are so important and how to optimize them, let us start with their basic definition. A squeeze page is a landing page that should be so designed that the visitor would willingly part with his most precious information and personal data – name and email address. Often it may take a lot of convincing or cajoling to do so and it is here that the structure of the page assumes importance. The page contains an opt-in form that the potential customer has to fill in. But everything is not always hunky dory. There are two types of customers, one that will presume that it is in reality a trap and leave the page quickly and the second category that will give their name and email address as you are offering them something that they would want to buy. These are the potential customers you should take seriously and follow up with. so may be used but do not go below the fold as the customer might find it tedious to scroll down.

  • Do not force yourself with a high pitched sales line. Be soft and gently persuade him to leave his personal particulars.
  • The opt-in form must be easily seen. Make it stand out in black against the color of the background.
  • A brief description of the product with an image.
  • A picture of the owner with a short message would add credibility and have a personalized approach. The potential customer will feel comfortable in parting with the required information.

There can be many variations to squeeze pages and the website owner will be the best judge on what will give him optimum results.
